Hocking Hills Trip

May 29, 2008

This past weekend, I went to West Virginia and Ohio to visit some family. While I was there, I went to Hocking Hills State Park, which is actually several (I think seven) parks within about 10 miles of each other. Hocking Hills is about half an hour from Athens, Ohio, in the south-eastern park of the state. I visited Ash Cave, which is a large recess cave with a waterfall, Old Man’s Cave (a smaller recess cave that an old man, literally enough, used to live in), the Upper and Lower Falls, Devil’s Bathtub, and Rock House, a small cave with many openings. It was amazing. On the way home, I saw buffalo in a field (strange) and discussed the speed of light during a very strange phone call. Check out the pictures from the trip (click slideshow to avoid paging through them yourself)!!

Also, if you’d like wordpress to allow Picassa slideshows (they currently don’t because the slideshows are flash and this creates a security issue), please let them know. If you know of another way to embed slideshows that is as easy as Picassa, feel free to share with me.
